Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Marketing, Business, Communications or similar
  • 8-10 years of experience in a professional setting
  • Familiarity with data and statistics
  • Experience telling stories using syndicated or primary research
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills
  • Collaborative, engaging team member dedicated to excellence and premium client service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business or communications
  • Experience supporting a high-growth work environment
  • Nimble and curious business mind with a knack for developing creative solutions that increase workflow productivity
  • Experience designing qualitative and quantitative primary research studies
  • Local broadcast media industry experience (i.e. TV, radio, cable etc.)

About the Job

As Director of Research Strategies you will have your hands in the hundred projects we author, design, execute, and present in a myriad of industries across the U.S. each year including but not limited to retail, technology, automotive, healthcare, legal, home improvement, financial, and elective health to name a few.

As “right-hand” to our founder you will be responsible for innovating our research strategies and operations including survey design, panel and focus group recruitment, survey fielding operations and reporting, and the most fun of all… storytelling and data visualization!

At parties you will tell people you are a professional question asker that connects regional companies with their most ideal consumers. You will win trivia games with family and friends thanks to all the knowledge you will gain in this role about the variety of industries you will have oversight.

You will have a direct impact on workflow both internally and externally and oversee our client communication methods to ensure a premium customer experience all around.

As leader of our research brainiacs you will oversee the building of actionable evidenced based research presentations that bring our custom insights to life for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee our research strategies and processes for fielding primary research internally and externally
  • Be the subject matter expert on the latest research design methods for drawing meaningful insights for our customers
  • Listen, author, and design creative primary research explorations for a variety of local businesses across the U.S.
  • Contribute to company thought pieces, white papers, blog posts, and webinars to help socialize recent trends and findings
  • Analyze findings via detailed crosstab analyses to uncover industry trends and key findings to establish meaningful norms across industries
  • Identify and drive workflow improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reporting
  • Author detailed executive summaries, overviews, and strategic recommendations as needed

Location

This role can be located anywhere in the U.S., but a Central or Eastern time zone is preferred. Remote employees may occasionally travel to our company headquarters in Los Angeles, CA for meetings or team-building events and some light travel may be required (<25%).

Elevate Marketing is seeking a Senior Consultant to help solicit its research and consulting services. This role can be based anywhere in the US, but a central or east coast time zone is preferred. 30% of the position may require travel, once a month for 2-3 days at a time, a few times per year.

About the Job

Businesses that partner with Elevate come in all shapes and sizes but are generally in Top-50 US markets. As a Senior Consultant, you will manage workflow with our media partners across the country to help secure quality partnerships with advertisers.

Your knowledge of online and traditional media, great communication skills, and your ability to lead are what will catapult your success in this position.

In a nutshell, using your relationship-building and solution-based selling skills you will lead and influence media sellers across the country to secure significant commitments with their companies using our custom research and consulting services.

In this role you will often find yourself “in front of the room” educating others on how to best use our services, position the offering, and secure new business partnerships.

You will need to anticipate objections and field questions on a daily basis, while providing tools, tips and tricks to help our sales teams succeed with our offering.

Understanding the value of primary research to help make better business decisions is needed but influencing others, commanding a room, and managing multiple external client needs in a fast-paced environment are also requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Consult, motivate, and encourage Account Executives across the country to help them generate new business relationships using our services
  • Provide solutions, tips, and tricks for Account Executives to help clearly communicate Elevate’s offerings and its benefits to advertisers
  • Field objections and questions from advertisers on Elevate’s offerings
  • Work with sales management teams to develop and execute accountability plans during our sales process to help generate results
  • Present offerings to a variety of businesses across the country as designated by our media partners during “pitch weeks”
  • Manage communications between advertising clients and media partners throughout the sales process

As our chief “data nerd,” you will oversee the Elevate data collection process and reporting methods, and help the team process thousands of lines of survey data into easily digestible dashboards, charts, and visualizations that make sense to our customers on a routine basis.
